November 8, 2011 Homework

Today you chose an animal that is native to Pennsylvania to learn and write about.  Go to http://www.portaportal.com/ and log in to morris209 as a guest.  Read about your animal and post a comment here with an interesting fact about the animal.  Remember to tell what the animal is.

  1. Coyotes are very good swimmers. Coyote moms have 3 to 12 pups int he sprint and they are taken care of by their mom and dad until they learn to hunt for themselves in the fall.

  5. Muskrats have a total body lenght of 12 and a half inches.Mustrats tails are flat and scaly, and are 9 inches long. Muskrats have dense fur that traps air.

    usally live 8 to 9 years
